Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA is seeking a visionary Director of Product Management to lead the strategic vision, lifecycle, and commercial performance of the entire ancillary product portfolio—from seating and baggage to bundles and travel insurance. This executive role sits at our head office in Fornebu, Oslo, with flexible remote work options.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial product management, ancillary revenue, travel, or e-commerce.
  • 3–5+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and portfolio profitability.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Norwegian’s multi-year ancillary product strategy and roadmap, aligned with company growth goals and brand vision.
  • Drive the complete product development lifecycle from research, business cases, and profitability to agile testing, launch, and post-launch enhancement.
  • Own portfolio profitability, take-up rates, conversion funnels, and revenue per passenger across all digital booking flows and customer touchpoints.
  • Leverage customer insights, booking data, A/B testing, and competitive benchmarking to identify emerging traveler trends and capture untapped revenue pools.
  • Build and oversee annual revenue targets, budgets, and forecasts, with clear commercial governance and executive reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Ancillary Product team, fostering innovation and commercial rigor.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Digital, IT, Revenue, Marketing, CX, Loyalty, Operations) for seamless product delivery.
  • Identify, negotiate, and work with external vendors and third-party partners to expand product capabilities.

At Norwegian, we’re seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director Product Management to join our Product & Customer Experience leadership team. This is a key role within our Commercial division, where you will directly lead the strategic vision, lifecycle management, and commercial performance of Norwegian’s entire ancillary product portfolio—from seating, baggage, and priority services to bundles, travel insurance, and innovative third-party products and services.

As part of this team, you will play a central role in shaping how we develop and monetize customer products across our customer journey. You will lead and inspire our Ancillary Product management team, working in close collaboration with several internal stakeholders and external partners. You have proven expertise in end-to-end product lifecycle management, from concept ideation and profitability strategy to testing, go-to-market rollout, and continuous optimization. The Director Product Management role is located at Norwegian Air Shuttle’s head office at Fornebu, Oslo.

What you’ll do:

Own and drive Norwegian’s multi-year ancillary product strategy and roadmap, aligned with company growth goals and brand vision.

What you will bring (your profile):

Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

8+ years of experience in commercial product management, ancillary revenue, travel/aviation, e-commerce, or fast-paced digital platforms.

3–5+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.

Proven track record of driving growth and portfolio profitability through structured product development, dynamic merchandising, strategies, and agile experimentation.

Highly analytical approach with the ability to turn complex commercial data and customer insights into decisive, actionable product roadmaps.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build alignment across diverse cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a plus.
