Cognizant is seeking a Data Migration Engineer for Oslo, Norway, to support the ADMS Series 6 transformation program. You will work with ADMS specialists, data architects, and integration teams to migrate and consolidate utility network data into a unified environment, enabling safer and more reliable grid operations.

This hybrid role emphasizes ETL development, data quality assurance, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 1–6+ years in data migration, ETL, data engineering, GIS, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on experience with data migration projects involving large datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of SCADA, electrical networks, GIS platforms, or utility technologies.
• Experience developing or supporting ETL processes and data transformation workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; troubleshoot data quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in hybrid, distributed teams.
• Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Execute data migration activities from multiple source systems into a consolidated ADMS Series 6 environment.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and migration pipelines for large-scale transformations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet migration milestones and project objectives.
• Validate, cleanse, and reconcile complex utility network data ensuring data quality.
• Analyze source data structures to improve migration efficiency and quality.
• Support migration testing, defect resolution, validation, and deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with utility stakeholders, ADMS engineers, and integration teams to resolve data challenges.
• Contribute to migration documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with utility data standards and operational requirements.
