Job summary

NSC Global is seeking a Data Centre Field Engineer to join our team in Oslo. The role involves hands-on hardware and network support, installation, and ongoing maintenance of data centre infrastructure.

The candidate should have 24+ months in a similar role, strong knowledge of Windows Server and Unix, and familiarity with iLO/DRAC remote management. English and local language proficiency are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, service and support network and server hardware and components.
• Configure and support connectivity and high-end systems products.
• Troubleshoot and test across hardware, software and networks.
• Maintain and update device and database backup & restore processes.
• Adhere to scheduled maintenance and service windows.

Responsibilities

Work Experience: More than 24 months

Sound knowledge of:

• Network and server hardware and components
• Copper and fibre cabling systems
• Equipment racking and stacking (installation)
• Installation and removal of field replaceable units (e.g. hard drive, memory, line cards, transceivers)
• Network monitoring systems and usage
• Device and database backup & restore processes
• Troubleshooting and testing
• Network connectivity
• Out of band management tools such as iLO and Drac systems
