Job summary

UNDP seeks an intern for the Global Policy Centre for Governance (GPCG) to support SDG 16 data & analytics and gender data workstreams. You will assist with data collection, analysis, and dashboards, contributing to the Global Progress Report and regional snapshots under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Gender Team, country reporting improvement, and the development of policy-relevant data products for governance and gender equality.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
• Demonstrated interest in global development and the work of international organisations.
• Experience in quantitative data analysis, statistical methods and data visualization using R, Python or Stata.
• Experience with population survey data or administrative records is highly desirable.
• Strong interest in governance, rule of law, justice and gender equality in policy.

Responsibilities

• Support data collection, statistical analysis and visualization for SDG 16 products.
• Prepare datasets, code scripts and reproducible analytical workflows using R, Python or Stata.
• Assist design, development and enhancement of digital platforms and dashboards.
• Support data quality assurance, metadata management and adherence to statistical standards.
• Assist in outreach, webinars and knowledge products related to SDG 16 data.
