Job summary

Aker BP ASA is seeking a CyberSecurity Engineer to join the Security Operations and Purple Teaming group. The role focuses on building automated, agentic workflows and threat detection across IT and OT environments within a fast-moving energy company.

You will lead investigations, develop security monitoring, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners while embracing AI-first security and Policy as Code practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cybersecurity, information technology, computer science or related discipline; hands-on certifications can compensate for formal education.
• Experience in incident response, threat hunting, security monitoring, purple teaming, penetration testing, security architecture, infrastructure security, or DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to the technical investigation and response of complex Cybersecurity alerts and incidents across IT and OT environments.
• Develop and improve security monitoring, detection rules, response playbooks, threat-hunting activities, and automated or agentic workflows.
• Perform security assessments through technical security reviews, penetration testing, purple teaming, and analysis of exploitable attack paths.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external security partners to design, improve, and assure the quality of security services and solutions.
