Job summary

Motorola Solutions Norway AS seeks an experienced 2nd line technical support engineer for the NOC, focusing on Core & Control Room alarms. You will investigate faults, document procedures, and work closely with MSI and customer teams to ensure service SLAs are met.

The role requires telecommunications expertise, TETRA knowledge, and security clearance to Norwegian SECRET/HEMMELIG. Expect travel within Norway and on-call duties on a 4/5 week rota.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Telecommunication or similar
• Experience with NOC or support desks is a plus
• Sound knowledge of TETRA technology
• Experience with trouble ticketing systems and SLA deadlines
• Security clearance to Norwegian SECRET/HEMMELIG or higher is required
• ITIL experience advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support to the NOC for Core & Control Room alarms and reported failures.
• Create and update knowledge documents and procedures for end-user support.
• Ensure owned tickets are updated regularly and escalate as needed.
• Act as technical representative for MSI when interfacing with customers.
• Collaborate with NOC and other support teams on fault investigation and trend analysis.
• Assist in training and supporting NOC resources.
• Travel within Norway up to 25% and cover on-call duties on a 4/5 rota.
• Drive administrative tasks and feed proactive scripts for fault resolution.
