Job summary

Morse Electric Inc. is seeking a controls engineer to design, develop, install, and manage control software for automated machines and processes. You will specify control systems, develop modular code, and test and modify systems while supporting on-site commissioning and client needs.

Requirements include a four-year engineering degree or equivalent, experience reading diagrams, and knowledge of AutoCAD, HMI, PLC, and SCADA. NEC/UL 508A familiarity and strong communication are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read process diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, HMI, PLC, SCADA preferred.
• Understanding of NEC and UL 508A.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems for automated machines and processes.
• Develop and validate modular, well-documented code.
• Test, maintain and modify systems.
• Develop ladder logic for Rockwell PLCs.
• Develop and implement HMI applications and screens.
• On-site commissioning and client support.
• Create operation and maintenance manuals.
• Support project management and finalize design documentation.
