Job summary

MDE Group in Oslo seeks a Senior Secondary Engineer to lead Control & Protection engineering for HV substations across Europe. You will design, document, test and commission C&P systems, coordinating with customers, suppliers and project teams.

You will have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in substation C&P, know power systems and tools like EPLAN, E3, AutoCAD, and PCM600. Fluent English or Norwegian and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in substation Control & Protection engineering.
Strong knowledge of power systems, transmission systems, and substation design.
Experience with electrical design tools such as EPLAN, E3, or AutoCAD.
Knowledge of SCADA, control systems, IEDs (PCM600 or similar) is an advantage.
Experience with testing, commissioning, and protection systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate Control & Protection engineering activities for substation projects.
Prepare and manage C&P design, calculations, technical drawings, and project documentation.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and local regulations.
Coordinate technical interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors.
Support project planning, risk assessment, and engineering estimates.
Provide technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning.
Collaborate closely with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
