Job summary

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to join the Connectivity Network team in Norway. You will develop, operate and improve connectivity platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments, focusing on security and reliability.

You will configure Cisco equipment, support Azure networking, automate tasks with Python/PowerShell, and contribute to system upgrades and documentation. The role spans on‑premises and cloud environments with collaboration across international teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in ICT, Networking or Engineering.
• 3+ years in Network Engineering, Network Security or Infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise and cloud networking environments.
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco networking infrastructure.
• Support Azure networking services, VNets, NSGs, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
• Implement security policies and firewall rules per best practices.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Assist network automation using APIs and Ansible.
• Support cloud and hybrid network connectivity solutions.
• Participate in upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
• Manage Fortinet security solutions including FortiGate.
