Job summary

IKM Consultants AS is seeking a Project Engineer for Stord, Norway, with responsibilities spanning completion, commissioning, and verification of topside systems. The role requires arranging test programs, reviewing P&IDs and ISO drawings, and ensuring handover readiness to operations.

Qualifications

• Certification as skilled worker or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven track record in mechanical construction, project completion, or operational roles.
• Familiarity with Project Completion Systems (e.g., PIMS) and document management systems.
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and ISO drawings.
• Experience from offshore operations or maintenance teams is a plus.
• Self-motivated with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Completion and Commissioning activities related to fabrication and system testing of topside equipment.
• Assist with testing, verification, and documentation processes.
• Conduct Mechanical Completion (MC) follow-up and punch-out of defined packages.
• Prepare, set, and/or verify Valve & Blind lists.
• Execute commissioning activities on dedicated systems as assigned.
• Verify that field installations are constructed according to design specifications, P&IDs, and ISO drawings.
• Participate in system check-outs, verifications, and walk-downs.
• Contribute to the safe and efficient handover of systems to the operations team.
• Ensure effective communication between operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.

Required expertise

• Certification as a skilled worker or equivalent education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• A proven track record in mechanical construction, project completion, or operational roles.
• Familiarity with Project Completion Systems (e.g., PIMS) and document management systems.
• Ability to read and understand P&IDs and ISO drawings.
• Experience from offshore operations or maintenance teams is a significant advantage.
• Self-motivated with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Language: English and Norwegian (written and verbal)

Location: Stord, Norway (with periods of offshore rotation)

Work schedule: Full-time, shift work including possible night shifts.

Duration: Fixed-term assignment from October 2026 to July 2027.
