Lace Lithography is seeking an independent Workshop Technician / CNC Operator to join a two-person workshop in Bergen. You’ll program and run our new 5-axis CNC mill, collaborate with R&D to translate ideas into prototypes, and manage daily workshop operations including laser cutting and welding.

Qualifications

• CAM Expertise: 2+ years of CAM programming and CNC milling; 5-axis knowledge is a major plus.
• Trade Certificate: CNC operator or equivalent; significant experience can compensate for lack of formal certificate.
• Practical & mechanical maintenance: hands-on troubleshooting; Heidenhain experience is a bonus; interest in 3D printing welcomed.
• Driver's License: Class B and forklift certificate.
• English language skills: strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-driven: take ownership of the workshop and tackle challenges head-on.
• Structured & quality-conscious: attention to detail, precision, and HSE awareness.
• Solution-oriented: thrive in a fast-paced, exploratory environment.

Responsibilities

• CAM Programming & 5-Axis CNC Machining: program and operate the new 5-axis CNC mill to manufacture precision components and prototypes.
• Close Collaboration with R&D: translate ideas into physical test components on short notice.
• Two-Person Workshop Management: daily operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across CNC, laser cutters, and other machinery.
• Laser Cutting: operate laser cutters for rapid prototyping and part customization.
• Laser Welder: operate laser welder for rapid prototyping and part customization.
• Daily Operations & Maintenance: ensure optimal operation and service history for workshop equipment.
• Inventory Management & Logistics: manage goods receipt, layout, and parts logging.
• HSE & Documentation: ensure workshop compliance with Norwegian HSE standards and safety inspections.
