Job summary

Lace Lithography AS in Bergen, Norway, seeks a Workshop Technician / CNC Operator to join a two-person team. You will program and operate a new Heidenhain-controlled 5-axis CNC mill to fabricate precision components and prototypes for our R&D and hardware teams.

This role blends hands-on workshop tasks with CAM programming, machining, and creating tomorrow's prototypes in a fast-paced, international setting. Relocation support is available as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CAM programming and CNC milling experience.
• Trade certificate or equivalent in CNC/mechanical trades; extensive practical experience counts.
• Hands-on experience with machine maintenance and electrical/mechanical systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate the 5-axis CNC mill to produce precision components, jigs and prototypes.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate ideas into physical test components on short notice.
• Co-manage a two-person workshop and perform preventive maintenance on CNC and laser equipment.
• Operate laser cutter and laser welder for rapid prototyping and customization.
• Ensure safe operations and maintain workshop logs, inventories and cleanliness.
