Job summary

FEDEX Express Norge AS is seeking a Clearance Broker-Associate to review shipments data, ensure accurate documentation, and prepare legally compliant clearance declarations. You will interface with customers and government agencies to clarify information and resolve routine disputes.

In this role, you will contribute to strong customer relationships, operate under tight deadlines, and support export clearance activities across shift rotations. English and Norwegian language skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Experience or working knowledge of clearance-related principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and commercial flights processing is desired.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a busy office environment

Responsibilities

  • Review shipments data to identify customer and regulatory requirements and verify documentation accuracy.
  • Use in-house systems to create accurate, legally compliant clearance declarations.
  • Contact customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed.
  • Resolve routine customer and customs disputes.
  • Build relationships with customers and advise on best clearance service.
  • Work within tight time frames in a busy office environment.

Job description

We are seeking our next Clearance Broker-Associate star!

What you will be doing:

Reviewing shipments data to understand the exact customer and regulatory requirements and checking the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied

Using in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations

Contacting customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed

Resolving routine customer and customs disputes

Building effective relationships with our customers and helping them to choose the best suited clearance service

Working within tight time frames in a busy office environment

Export clearance:

3 shift rotations with following work times 8-16, 10-18 and 13-21

Standard rotation example: Week 1: 8-16, Week 2: 13-21, Week 3: 13-21 and week 4: 10-18

1 week AM/Mid and 2 weeks PM

Good team working skills with experience of contributing to team performance in a busy office environment

Experience or working knowledge of key clearance related principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and commercial flights processing is desired

Customer focused with excellent communication skills

Attention to detail and the ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight time deadlines

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Good Microsoft Office and PC skills
