Job summary

Qondor in Oslo seeks a senior leader to build and steer an AI-first Builder organisation. You own product strategy, set architectural guardrails, and report to the CEO to enable fast, reliable AI-enabled delivery.

You will define the long-term direction, lead a cross-functional team, and align technical decisions with commercial goals for scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Founder or early technical leader experience in a scaling company is highly relevant.
• Hands-on coding with agents in production and informed opinions on failures.
• Shipped AI capability customers actually use and can cite impact on retention or cost.
• Strong strategic and architectural judgement linking decisions to outcomes.

Lead an AI-first Builder organisation

Qondor is the Nordic leader in meetings and events management software, replacing a patchwork of tools with one connected workflow from first request to final invoice. Around 44,000 events ran through the platform in 2025 across more than 15 countries, and over half our ARR comes from outside Norway. Backed by Monterro, we are investing hard in product, engineering, and AI.

How we work

We are building Qondor's next platform with AI in the loop at every step. Product managers write and ship code. Developers sit inside product decisions rather than receiving them as tickets. Specs, prototypes, tests, and migrations are drafted by agents and reviewed by people accountable for what goes out.

As a result, the key objectives of the role are setting an architecture and holding the guardrails that enable a fast AI-assisted team to deliver efficiently and reliably. You own product strategy and technical direction, lead the Builder organisation, and report to the CEO.

What you’ll do

• Define Qondor’s long term product and technology strategy, with AI at its heart
• Lead and develop the Builder organisation, with team members stemming from product and engineering
• Establish a clear and scalable architectural direction that supports international growth
• Own the guardrails - test strategy, review standards, pipelines, observability, security, and clear rules for agents’ actions
• Address structural bottlenecks and scalability risks proactively
• Foster a culture of rapid iteration, learning, and outcome focused delivery
• Take a technology agnostic approach, choosing solutions based on product value and long term sustainability
• Build further on a small, high-output team
• Drive disciplined prioritisation and transparent trade off decisions
• Act as a bridge between market and product, ensuring that customer insights, commercial priorities, and competitive dynamics shape the roadmap and technology investments

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who has:

• built something. Founder, co-founder, or early technical leader in a scaling company is highly relevant
• plenty of experience of being hands-on and already work this way. Coding agents daily on production work, with informed opinions about where they fail.
• shipped AI capability that customers actually use, and can say what it did to retention or cost
• a strong strategic and architectural judgement, also connecting technical decisions to commercial outcomes
• leadership experience – regardless of title, you enjoy motivating colleagues and seeing them succeed
