Job summary

Vinjekroa in Åmot, Vinje, Telemark, invites a reliable and motivated chef to join our kitchen team. You will prepare and cook dishes from our menu, maintain high hygiene standards, and contribute to smooth daily operations in a newly renovated restaurant.

Experience in Norwegian cuisine is an advantage. You should be able to work independently when needed, stay organized during busy periods, and enjoy being part of a friendly team in a beautiful Norwegian setting.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience working as a chef or cook.
• Is comfortable working independently when required.
• Works efficiently and stays organized during busy periods.
• Is reliable, flexible and takes responsibility.
• Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team.
• Understands the importance of hygiene, quality and consistency.
• Can communicate in English or a Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking dishes from our menu
• Preparing traditional Norwegian dishes as well as burgers, pizza and other dishes
• Ensuring consistent quality and presentation
• Following food safety and hygiene procedures
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and efficient
• Preparing ingredients and managing mise en place
• Working closely with the rest of the kitchen and restaurant team
• Contributing to smooth daily kitchen operations
• Assisting with food preparation for events and larger functions when required
