Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Software Integration Engineer to advance the Hivemind platform. You will become a power user of the Hivemind SDK, validate customer use cases, and help bring autonomy capabilities to production across simulation, SIL, and hardware platforms.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to close gaps, improve usability for autonomy developers, and ensure robust, mission-ready integrations with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience with CS/CE/Robotics or 6y with MS or 4y with PhD.
• Proficiency in Python or C++.
• Experience with autonomous systems, middleware, or server apps.
• Designing integration workflows and triaging system defects.
• Experience with simulation and HIL testing environments.
• Strong CI/CD and excellent cross-team communication.

Responsibilities

• Become a systems integration expert for autonomous robotics.
• Configure, deploy, and integrate multi-agent systems across simulations, HIL, and flight platforms.
• Understand end-to-end sensor inputs to autonomous behaviors.
• Integrate capabilities into the autonomy stack with cross-functional teams.
• Lead platform bring-up and validation on new robotic hardware.
• Develop integration tooling, scripts, and configuration management.
• Ensure interoperability across platforms and diagnose defects with logs and telemetry.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and release readiness checks.
• Verify end-to-end system contracts and traceability.
