Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Applications Engineer to deploy Hivemind software with customers worldwide. This senior role is travel-intensive and on-site, often for multi-week engagements. You will understand requirements, provide technical expertise during deployment, and integrate AI and autonomy products.

Ideal candidates have a solid software foundation, C++ and Python experience, and a hands-on mindset. Collaboration with engineering and potential for leadership over time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in applications engineering or similar.
• 2+ years in an integration/applications engineering role.
• 2+ years in a startup environment.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and C++ proficiency.
• Proficiency in Python and good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deploy with customers on-site to support integration of Shield AI software.
• Become expert in the Hivemind enterprise software stack.
• Provide technical support and training to customers.
• Develop AI & Autonomy applications using the SDK.
• Assist sales with pre-sales activities and demos.
• Assist post-sales deployment and product feedback collaboration.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Help customers debug software/API integration issues.
