Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an Autonomy Software Integration & Test Engineer to develop and deploy autonomous systems across field environments. You will work on integration, testing, and live flight operations in Ukraine, collaborating across software, hardware, and flight teams.

The role requires hands-on software development in C++ and Python, plus experience with MAVLink, PX4, and ROS. Travel to test sites may be required, in a startup setting with rapid iterations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in software for robotics, autonomy, aerospace, embedded systems, or related area.
• Strong software engineering in C++ and Python with integration experience.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments and lab/field debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop production-quality software features for autonomous systems.
• Design, debug, and maintain software for autonomy, mission execution, and flight operations.
• Integrate autonomy software onto fixed-wing, multirotor, and other unmanned systems.
