Job summary

IKM Consultants AS seeks an automation specialist to lead technical deliveries and ensure supplier designs meet specifications within the oil & gas sector. You will own automation deliverables and contribute to project plans, procurement, and risk management.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's or master's in automation, with strong English and Scandinavian language skills, and a proven track record in EX/Exi and international standards. This is a full-time on-site role in Øygarden area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Automation Technology or related field.
• Experience with technical requirements and international standards.
• Expertise within Oil & Gas discipline (EX/Exi).
• Strong communication in English and a Scandinavian language (written and oral).
• Language: English and Norwegian/Scandinavian
• Location: Øygarden, Mongstad, Kårstø, Sandsli
• Commuters Not Accepted
• Work schedule: Full-time
• Duration: 31.10.2026 - 30.10.2027
• Option Period: 1 x

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for technical deliveries within the automation discipline and assigned project tasks.
• Ensure that company requirements are understood by suppliers and correctly implemented in the design.
• Provide input to and perform quality assurance on project plans.
• Process and provide recommendations on change proposals.
• Contribute to procurement processes and tender evaluations.
• Assist in the establishment of assignment agreements.
• Manage risk and HSE aspects throughout the design phase.
