Job summary

NMBU invites applications for a permanent Associate Professor position in International Economics. The successful candidate will conduct research, teach courses in international economics, and supervise students at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or related field relevant to international development economics.
• Documented research competence and publication record in international economics or related fields.
• Educational competence per NMBU requirements; gaps must be addressed within two years.
• Good oral and written English skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in international economics and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Teach and develop courses in international economics, including the master’s programme in Global Economy and Politics.
• Supervise bachelor’s, master’s and PhD theses and mentor students.
• Contribute to study programmes, online education and the School’s research environment.
• Apply for externally funded projects and collaborate with public authorities, businesses and external stakeholders.
