The Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) invites applications for a permanent Associate Professor in Economics at the School of Economics and Business. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research and contribute to teaching and supervision across bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programmes.

The role includes developing courses, supervising theses, publishing in top journals, and engaging with external stakeholders and research projects, within an AACSB-accredited environment

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or related field relevant to the position.
• Documented research competence and publication record within economics.
• Educational competence per NMBU requirements; any gaps must be addressed within two years.
• Good oral and written English.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in economics and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
• Teach and develop economics courses across bachelor’s and master’s programmes.
• Supervise bachelor’s, master’s and PhD theses.
• Contribute to study programmes, online education, and research environment.
• Apply for and contribute to externally funded research projects.
• Collaborate with public authorities, research institutions, businesses and other stakeholders.
