Job description

Will You Help Us Bring the Future to the Table?

We think you might.

At Munu, we are on a mission to transform how restaurants and bars run, grow, and thrive.

We blend a deep love for food and tech with bold ambition, creating tools that simplify operations, elevate guest experiences, and empower hospitality teams to perform at their best.

You will join a fast-moving team that is scaling across the Nordics. We care deeply about quality, precision, and progress, and we back it up with curiosity, humility, and a bias for action. We challenge ideas, not people. We share wins. We learn fast. And we never forget who we are building for.

If you are hungry to make an impact, to move quickly, build smart, and help shape the future of an entire industry, pull up a chair.

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Booking team. The team is on a mission to make table reservations effortless and valuable for both restaurants and guests. Booking is a core part of the Munu platform, helping hospitality businesses use their capacity effectively, reduce friction in daily operations, and deliver smooth, memorable guest experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for a curious, driven, and structured individual early in their career who wants to grow into a strong Product Manager through hands-on experience, close mentorship, and real ownership.

You will work closely with a Senior Product Manager and a cross-functional team of engineers and designers. Over time, you will take on increasing responsibility across discovery, delivery, and stakeholder collaboration, while being supported in developing your product craft.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
  • Help our customers turn table reservations into a smooth, reliable experience for both staff and guests, from online booking to arrival and seating
  • Learn deeply about our customers, users, and their problems through data, feedback, and direct conversations
  • Drive discovery work by helping define problems, hypotheses, experiments, and the customer and business value we aim to create.
  • Contribute to prioritization by bringing structure, insights, and thoughtful questions
  • Work closely with the team to plan, ship, and iterate on product improvements
  • Track outcomes and learnings against key metrics such as product and feature adoption, capacity utilization, no-show rate, and guest satisfaction
  • Communicate clearly with the team and stakeholders about progress, trade-offs, and insights
  • Gradually take ownership of defined problem areas within the Booking domain
  • Support go-to-market work by helping shape a clear product promise and collaborating with commercial teams on training and enablement material
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
  • Have a strong curiosity and a clear desire to learn the product management craft
  • Are a structured thinker who enjoys breaking down complex problems
  • Are interested in customers, technology, and how products create business value
  • Are technically curious: you don’t need to be an engineer, but you’re comfortable with technology and eager to learn how systems work
  • Are comfortable working in cross-functional teams with engineers and designers
  • Ask good questions and challenge assumptions respectfully
  • You take ownership, act fast, and fix inefficiencies rather than waiting for permission
  • Have AI literacy and deep curiosity: You are comfortable working with AI tools, eager to explore new possibilities, and interested in how AI can be embedded in our product.
  • Clear communicator in Norwegian (or another Scandinavian language) and in English, both written and spoken.

Experience from SaaS, hospitality, operations, analytics, or similar roles is a plus, but not required.

What Success Looks Like
  • You contribute meaningfully to discovery and delivery within the Guest team
  • Your insights help the team make better, more informed product decisions
  • You build strong relationships with engineers, designers, and stakeholders
  • You grow steadily in ownership, confidence, and product judgment
  • You help improve how guests order, pay, and interact with our customers, at scale
  • You help ensure the Guest product remains competitive, intuitive, and attractive in the market by continuously connecting customer needs, product development, and go-to-market input
What Makes This Opportunity Different
  • You’ll be part of a company with deep hospitality expertise and a mission that matters: empowering restaurants and bars with better, smarter tools
  • You’ll work on a core product area at Munu, directly impacting guest experience and operational efficiency
  • You’ll join a collaborative, learning-oriented product culture where curiosity, clarity, and progress matter more than hierarchy
  • You’ll receive close mentorship from an experienced Product Manager, with a clear development path toward your next promotion.
  • You’ll have a real impact from day one, while being supported to grow your product craft over time
  • You’ll be involved not only in building the product, but also in shaping how it is positioned, communicated, and adopted, working closely with Marketing and People to ensure the product promise is clear, and teams are enabled to succeed
  • You’ll grow with us, in a scale-up with big ambitions, strong values, and room to take on more ownership as you develop
Who We Are

Munu is a Norwegian scale-up rethinking how restaurants and bars operate- and thrive. Since 2016, we’ve helped over 2,000 hospitality venues run smarter through our Munu Cloud platform, integrating everything from POS and Booking to Guest solutions, Inventory, and Payments. Our customers range from local gems to national brands, and our reach is growing fast across the Nordics.

At Munu, we put the customer at the center, hold ourselves to high standards, and work as one team- always. We challenge the status quo with curiosity, speed, and a bias for action, learning and improving together as we go. And because building something that truly matters is a marathon, not a sprint, we balance ambition with care for our people and how we work.

Backed by strong investors and built by people who live and breathe hospitality, we’re committed to growing sustainably without compromising on trust, creativity, or simplicity. At Munu, we empower our customers- and we empower our people.
