Job description

At Fýri Resort, no two days are the same. One moment you're helping the team through a busy dinner service, the next you're chatting with guests, solving challenges, or making sure everything is set for another great evening.

We're looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager who loves being where it happens – out on the floor, with the team and the guests.

This role is perfect for someone who's ready to take the next step in hospitality leadership. Maybe you're already an Assistant Manager, or perhaps you're a strong Supervisor or Head Waiter looking for more responsibility.

Either way, we're looking for someone who leads by example, enjoys working with people, and wants to be part of creating memorable experiences every day.

What you'll be doing

You'll work closely with our Restaurant Manager and become an important part of the leadership team.

Some days will be fast-paced, some wonderfully chaotic, and every day different.

You'll:

  • Support the daily operation of the restaurant
  • Be a visible and supportive leader for the team
  • Help onboard and develop new colleagues
  • Make sure guests feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of
  • Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and reception teams
  • Handle feedback and challenges with professionalism and positivity
  • Support scheduling, stock management, and operational planning
  • Contribute ideas that make both the guest and employee experience even better
Who are you?

Most importantly: you're someone people enjoy working with.

You take responsibility, stay calm under pressure, and understand that great hospitality starts with teamwork.

We think you'll do well in this role if you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in hospitality, hotels, restaurants, events, or service operations
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, or supervising a team
  • A genuine passion for guest experiences
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Confidence taking initiative and making decisions
  • Knowledge of a Scandinavian language is a big plus
  • Experience with PMI is a strong advantage
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Norway and hold a valid passport or the necessary visa/work permit.
What we offer
  • Opportunities for development and internal training
  • Employee benefits across ESS Group destinations
  • A supportive and social team culture
  • A workplace surrounded by mountains, adventure, and unforgettable experiences
