Job summary

University of Utah Health seeks an Oncology - Ambulatory Registered Nurse to provide direct clinical care to patients undergoing outpatient cancer treatment. The role emphasizes longitudinal patient care, education, and coordination across clinic settings.

The final level and compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities for progression through Nurse Level 1–4. This is a full-time, on-site position within the ambulatory oncology program.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Utah (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Interstate Compact license required if residency remains outside Utah.
• Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to patients in outpatient cancer care.
• Coordinate care, assess symptoms, educate patients, and manage treatment-related symptoms.
• Escalate concerns promptly to prevent unnecessary acute care utilization.
• Work with high‑risk regimens and multi‑morbid patients across settings and transitions.
