Job summary

DNV is seeking an AI Engineer specializing in agentic systems to design, build, and evolve generative AI capabilities within Horizon, our cloud platform for renewable energy asset monitoring and analytics.

You will develop production-grade AI agents that interact with Horizon data, analytics, and workflows, with a focus on role-based, multi-agent collaborations across asset management, trading, and operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proven experience building AI agents and agentic workflows
• Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector search, and prompt engineering
• Strong Python software engineering skills and production-grade applications
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-native development
• Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable architecture for role-based AI agents, including agents for Asset Management, Ownership, O&M, predictive maintenance, trading, and analytical workflows
• Define agent responsibilities, tools, interaction patterns, task delegation, context sharing, and hand-offs between specialised agents
• Integrate agents with Horizon data sources, including time-series data, alarms, events, metadata, forecasts, and documentation
• Build evaluation frameworks and test datasets for answer quality, groundedness, tool selection, and reliability
• Implement observability and traceability across agent execution and user feedback
• Deploy and operate AI services in production with software and platform engineers
• Collaborate with renewable energy domain experts to ensure outputs are meaningful for operational decisions
• Keep up-to-date with LLMs, agent orchestration, multimodal systems, and AI engineering developments
