Job summary

Equinor is seeking a Data Scientist to shape the next generation of AI-powered solutions. You will work at the intersection of data science, AI engineering and product development, deploying AI across the enterprise and learning new techniques as the field evolves.

You will collaborate with engineers and business experts, design agentic AI workflows, and measure impact on performance and adoption while exploring opportunities to create business value.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in a quantitative field with strong data science foundations.
• Hands-on data science, ML and AI development in production environments.
• Knowledge of modern language models, generative and agentic AI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test agentic AI solutions.
• Develop prompting strategies, retrieval systems and evaluation approaches.
• Work with large language models and multimodel AI technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and business experts.
• Contribute to production deployment of AI solutions.
• Measure and improve solution performance and user adoption.
• Identify opportunities where AI adds business value.
