Job summary

Equinor is seeking a Data Scientist to shape the next generation of AI-powered solutions. You will work at the intersection of data science, AI engineering and product development, deploying AI across the enterprise and learning new techniques as the field evolves.

You will collaborate with engineers and business experts, design agentic AI workflows, and measure impact on performance and adoption while exploring opportunities to create business value.

What we think you bring

• Masters or PhD in operations research, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, control/automation, engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven hands-on experience in data science, machine learning and AI development/deployment in production environment.
• Practical knowledge of modern language models, generative and Agentic AI.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience, preferably Python.
• Interest in emerging AI technologies and a desire to keep learning.

Nice to have

• LangGraph, Microsoft Agent Framework (MAF), CrewAI or similar frameworks.
• Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI services and cloud-native development.
• Responsible AI, model safety and governance.
