Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to strengthen its Monetization Technology/Ads Engineering team. You will lead testing for the advertising system, design test plans, and drive automated testing and CI/CD initiatives to improve reliability and scalability.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in testing/QA, programming experience in Python/Java, and strong fundamentals in networks, databases, and algorithms.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience in testing/QA, preferably in ads or mobile platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.
• Familiar with at least one programming language (Python/Java).
• Solid computer basics (networks, databases, algorithms).
• Proactive and able to communicate with cross‑functional teams and own business aspects.

Responsibilities

• Own the entire process of advertising system testing, including requirements analysis, test design, and defect tracking.
• Develop and execute automated test cases and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Build dashboards and metrics to support data‑driven decisions across teams.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to refine testing strategies and product quality.
