OSM Thome Limited invites you to join our professional deck team aboard world‑class car carriers. As 2nd Officer you will contribute to safe navigation, voyage planning, and cargo operations on international voyages.

You will stand bridge watches, maintain logs, and support the Chief Officer in everyday deck duties while upholding strict safety standards and teamwork on challenging sea routes. This is a full‑time seagoing position with global reach, demanding dedication and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Valid 2nd Officer (OOW) license and STCW certificates.
• Previous experience as 2/O, preferably on car carriers or similar vessels.
• Medically fit for sea service.
• Strong safety mindset and good teamwork attitude.

Responsibilities

• Stand bridge watch and ensure safe navigation at sea and in port.
• Assist with voyage planning, chart and publication corrections.
• Support cargo operations and stability control for car carrier trades.
• Maintain safety equipment and take part in safety drills.
• Prepare and complete deck logs and other required paperwork.
• Assist the Chief Officer with deck crew supervision and daily deck work.
