Job summary

Holie's is seeking a Working Student in Accounting & Control in Amsterdam. You’ll work 16–24 hours per week and be paid €16–€20 per hour while studying, joining a fast-growing FMCG finance team handling real numbers from day one.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with daily accounting, purchase and sales invoices, reconciliations, and 3-way matching in Exact Online, as well as month-end closing and financial controls, helping prepare the business for rapid expansion across Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or closely related field.
• Comfortable with Excel and basic accounting fundamentals.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks (invoices, payments, reconciliations, 3-way matching).
• Support month-end closing, reporting, and internal controls with the finance team.
• Assist in building scalable finance processes for growth into new countries and entities.

As our Working Student Accounting & Control, you join the Finance team, work on real numbers from day one and get paid while you study.

What you’ll actually do

• Get hands-on with day-to-day accounting. Purchase and sales invoices, payments, reconciliations and 3-way matching in Exact Online. You'll see how the numbers of an FMCG company come together, from supplier to supermarket shelf.
• Learn Financial Control. Work alongside our Financial Controllers on month-end closing, reporting and controls, and take on more of it yourself as you grow.
• Help build Finance for the next stage. New countries, new entities and getting audit-ready mean a lot is still being built. You'll help make our processes faster, smarter and ready to scale.

We’d probably get along if

• You're doing a bachelor or master in Accounting or something closely related.
• You know your accounting basics and are comfortable in Excel. Relevant work experience is a big plus.
• You're sharp, curious and like getting things done.
• You speak fluent Dutch and English.
• You're available 16-24 hours a week, in our Amsterdam office, ideally for more than a year.
