As a Workday Solution Specialist, you will be responsible for translating business needs into effective Workday solutions while safeguarding the integrity of the global design. Working within an Agile and DevOps environment, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from HR, IT, and other business domains to deliver high-quality enhancements and support continuous innovation. You will play a key role in optimizing processes and employee journeys related to performance, talent optimization, and other Workday capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into sustainable and scalable Workday solutions.
- Design and configure Workday functionality in line with global standards, architecture principles, and business objectives.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes and validate new Workday releases.
- Configure and maintain solutions within Workday HCM, Performance, and Talent (Optimization).
- Provide clear solution recommendations, including alternatives, trade-offs, and implementation considerations.
- Collaborate with global and local HR stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization.
- Support testing activities, defect analysis, and release deployment.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation and knowledge materials.
- Deliver user support, knowledge transfer, and training where required.
- Work closely with integration and technology teams to assess impacts on connected systems and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the evolution of Rabobank's global HR technology landscape.

- Improving employee, manager, and HR user journeys across Workday.
- Designing and implementing enhancements within the Talent & Performance domain.
- Optimizing Workday configurations to increase automation, data quality, and user experience.
- Evaluating new Workday functionality and advising on adoption within the global template.
- Collaborating with Product Owners, HR experts, and fellow specialists to deliver innovative HR solutions.
What You Bring
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
- Proven expertise in the following areas:
o Workday Core HCM
o Performance Management
o Talent Optimization (not mandatory, but a big plus). - Experience translating business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Experience working in complex international environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of HR processes, policies, and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
- Familiarity with Workday release management, testing, and change implementation.
- A strong quality mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
