Job summary

NTT DATA in the Netherlands is seeking a Windows engineer, specialist or architect to support enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments across physical, virtualised and cloud-connected platforms.

You will work on AD, GPO, DNS, failover clustering, security hardening and automation using PowerShell, with opportunities to lead complex investigations at higher levels. This role offers a path to define platform architecture and modernisation roadmaps within a global technology services leader.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server environments and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and authentication services.
• Experience with automation using PowerShell and virtualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer Windows Server environments.
• Resolve incidents involving operating systems and infrastructure services.
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and related platform services where in scope.
• Troubleshoot performance, authentication, connectivity and storage issues.
• Develop PowerShell automation for recurring administration.
• Support clustering, backup, recovery and disaster-recovery testing.
• Maintain configuration records, technical documentation and runbooks.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation and lifecycle improvement.
• At L4, lead complex operating-system and directory-services investigations.
• At L5, define Windows platform architecture, standards and modernisation roadmaps.

The Windows engineer, specialist or architect supports enterprise Microsoft Windows Server environments and connected infrastructure services. The role maintains secure, stable and supportable platforms across physical, virtualised and cloud-connected environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and administer Windows Server environments.
• Resolve incidents involving operating systems and associated infrastructure services.
• Perform server provisioning, configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and related platform services where in scope.

• Support vulnerability remediation and operating-system hardening.
• Develop PowerShell automation for recurring administration.
• Support clustering, backup, recovery and disaster-recovery testing.
• Maintain configuration records, technical documentation and runbooks.
• Identify opportunities for standardisation and lifecycle improvement.
• At L4, lead complex operating-system and directory-services investigations.
• At L5, define Windows platform architecture, standards and modernisation roadmaps.
