As a Work Planner / Project Engineer, you play a crucial role in providing technical and organisational support for our construction projects. You ensure that all technical aspects are fully developed and ready for production and assembly. You will work closely with the sales team, the Operations Project Manager, and the Workshop Supervisor to successfully realise Solarix solar façades.
What will you do?
- Support the project manager with construction-related tasks.
- Create and review architectural drawings and sketches (e.g., in AutoCAD or Revit).
- Prepare and verify technical drawings for production and assembly.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and technical documentation.
- Assist in budgeting, quotations, and procurement processes.
- Maintain contact with suppliers, contractors, and electrical installers.
- Contribute to technical solutions and process improvements within projects.
- Conduct site surveys and quality checks when necessary.
- Independently manage smaller projects and attend construction meetings.
Who are we looking for?
- Completed BTEC, HND, or Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in façade construction and/or the solar sector.
- Proficiency in construction design software such as AutoCAD, BIM, SketchUp, and Excel (knowledge of additional software is a plus).
- Detail-oriented, structured, and communicatively strong.
- Passion for construction projects and technical innovation.
- A team player with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
- Driving licence (Category B) and willingness to supervise projects on-site.
- Analytical thinker with a passion for sustainable innovation.
