Job summary

Sumitomo SHI FW Energia Oy Group in Varkaus, Finland, seeks a Welding Coordinator / Engineer to join the Group Quality department. The role focuses on maintaining the ISO 3834-2 certified Welding Quality Management System and conducting internal audits across the welding processes.

The successful candidate will review welding procedures, support project welding requirements, and ensure alignment with SFW manufacturing standards. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
• IWE qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years as Welding Coordinator in manufacturing or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ISO 3834-2 Welding Quality Management System and conduct internal audits.
• Perform supplier workshop and construction audits.
• Review welding-related client requirements and support proposals.
• Provide welding expertise to projects, including procedures and repairs.
• Maintain manufacturing instructions and standards for Welding Coordinator responsibilities.
• Act as substitute Welding Coordinator for Service Production in Varkaus.
