Q4S seeks a Senior Welding & Fabrication QC Inspector for a long-term assignment in the Netherlands. You will ensure the highest quality standards in heavy steel fabrication, witnessing critical steps and inspections per the ITP.

Responsibilities include verifying drawings and welding requirements, reviewing WPS/WPQR and NDT reports, and reporting findings to the Supplier Quality Engineering team. Certification in IWI and VT2 is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with heavy welded steel structures.
• Knowledge of welding inspections and standards ISO 5817, ISO 13920, ISO 17637.
• Extensive experience with dimensional inspections and reading fabrication drawings.
• Experience with supplier inspections, ITPs, and quality control during fabrication.
• Certified IWI-S/IWI-C, IWT, and VT Level 2.

Responsabilités

About the role

Are you an experienced Senior Welding & Fabrication QC Inspector with a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality assurance? Then this long-term assignment in the Netherlands is for you! You will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards in the fabrication of heavy steel structures.

Responsibilities

• You will witness inspections and critical fabrication steps in accordance with the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
• You will verify that production complies with technical drawings, specifications, and welding requirements.
• You will witness and verify dimensional inspections of large steel structures.
• You will review welding documentation, WPS/WPQR, and NDT inspection reports.
• You will monitor Hold Points and Witness Points.
• You will identify, report, and follow up on deviations and outstanding punch list items.
• You will report inspection findings to our client's Supplier Quality Engineering department.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience with heavy welded steel structures.
• Good knowledge of welding inspections and relevant standards, including ISO 5817, ISO 13920, and ISO 17637.
• Extensive experience with dimensional inspections and interpreting technical fabrication drawings.
• Experience with supplier inspections, ITPs, and quality control during fabrication.
• In possession of IWI-S/IWI-C certification.
• In possession of IWT certification.
• In possession of VT Level 2 certification.
