Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a hands-on welding professional to support customers, distributors, and sales teams with technical expertise, demonstrations, and application support. The role spans ARC facility work and on-site customer engagements, blending welding know-how with customer-facing consulting and training.

Qualifications

  • Completed vocational training in welding or metalworking.
  • Hands-on welding experience in fabrication shop, production, or field.
  • Knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG and MMA processes.
  • IW S/IWT or comparable welding qualifications are a plus.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regionally; valid driving licence.

WHAT THE ROLE IS ABOUT

We are looking for a hands-on welding professional to support our customers, distributors, and sales teams with technical expertise, demonstrations, and application support.In this role, you will work in our ARC facility and on customer sites, ensuring our welding solutions are applied effectively and demonstrated at the highest standard. You will combine practical welding know-how with customer-facing consulting and training. These will be the main tasks of the role:

Execute customer-specific welding tests and proof welds

Plan and deliver product and process demonstrations in the ARC facility and on-site

Provide technical training to distributors and sales teams

Advise customers on welding challenges and propose practical solutions

Conduct site visits and troubleshoot applications directly with customers

Prepare weld samples and joints for mechanical testing

Develop welding procedures and support process validation

Benchmark consumables and equipment performance against market standards

Support daily operations in the ARC facility and welding areas

WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE

Completed technical vocational training in welding, metalworking, or a related field (e.g. MBO level 3/4 in the Netherlands or equivalent qualification)

Hands-on experience in welding, ideally from a fabrication shop, production, or field environment

Solid understanding of multiple welding processes (MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA) and related equipment

Additional certifications (e.g. IWS, IWT or comparable welding qualifications) are an advantage

Strong practical mindset with the ability to translate technical knowledge into customer value

Confident communication skills and experience in customer-facing situations (training, demonstrations, or consulting)

Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a strong plus

Structured, independent working style combined with a team-oriented attitude

Willingness to travel across the region and a valid driving licence

High attention to detail, quality focus, and a consistent safety-first mindset
