Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Website Lead based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for one of the most important acquisition and customer experience assets within a growing B2B SaaS business.
You will own a portfolio of high-traffic websites and localized versions, from roadmap and architecture to performance, reliability, and quality.
Leading an in-house web team, you will set priorities, manage capacity, and establish delivery processes that enable the organization to ship faster and more reliably.
The role combines technical hands-on work with team leadership, stakeholder management, conversion optimization, and commercial thinking.
You will work closely with marketing, content, design, SEO, PR, and international teams to translate business strategy into effective digital experiences.
A major focus will be using AI and automation to improve workflows, accelerate delivery, and increase the team's overall effectiveness.
This role is ideal for an experienced web leader who enjoys ownership, practical problem-solving, and making measurable improvements in a fast-moving global environment.

Accountabilities
  • Own the website portfolio end to end, including the roadmap, quality standards, technical setup, integrations, performance, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Manage multiple websites and localized language versions, ensuring consistency, maintainability, and effective use of shared templates and components.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the in-house web team, setting priorities, coordinating sprint planning, conducting weekly reviews, and managing capacity.
  • Establish clear delivery and release processes that enable the team to ship changes quickly while maintaining website stability and quality.
  • Manage external contractors and agencies, including budgets, timelines, deliverables, and competing stakeholder priorities.
  • Identify and implement AI-powered workflows, automations, and tools that improve team efficiency and accelerate website development and operations.
  • Drive conversion rate optimization across websites by analyzing user behavior, identifying friction points, running A/B tests, and implementing successful improvements.
  • Translate business, brand, and marketing strategies into website structures, messaging, user journeys, and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, content, design, SEO, PR, and country teams to scope requirements and ensure initiatives are delivered effectively.
  • Maintain high standards across website UX, technical performance, accessibility, security, mobile optimization, and SEO.
  • Monitor website analytics, attribution, and performance to inform priorities and demonstrate business impact.
  • Ensure website initiatives contribute meaningfully to demand generation, trials, leads, pipeline, and revenue.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working on high-traffic marketing websites, including at least 2 years in a leadership position; B2B SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multiple websites, markets, or localized versions within a complex digital environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of HTML and CSS, with the ability to read code, troubleshoot lightweight JavaScript issues, and contribute directly alongside the team.
  • Proven experience managing website delivery, including sprint planning, prioritization, release processes, and work delivered through contractors or agencies.
  • Strong WordPress expertise, including knowledge of multisite environments, CMS architecture, integrations, performance optimization, and development workflows.
  • Practical experience incorporating AI into daily workflows, with familiarity using tools such as ChatGPT or Claude and building meaningful automations through platforms such as n8n, Make, or similar solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing, including designing or running experiments and acting on the results.
  • Strong knowledge of web analytics, tracking, attribution, and reporting tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, Amplitude, or comparable platforms.
  • Solid understanding of UX/UI principles, SEO, accessibility, mobile optimization, website security, and broader web fundamentals.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how websites contribute to demand generation, trials, leads, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an async-first, globally distributed environment.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency or above.
  • A technical background or experience managing technical project teams is a plus.
  • Experience with headless CMS platforms or modern frontend frameworks alongside WordPress is an advantage.
  • Experience with HubSpot is an additional plus.
Benefits
  • 22 days of paid time off in addition to local national holidays.
  • Flexible working hours and a trust-based approach to managing your schedule.
  • Private medical insurance or a medical allowance, depending on location.
  • Extended paid sick leave to support your recovery when needed.
  • Career development framework with opportunities for professional growth.
  • Wellbeing and learning and development support.
  • High-quality Apple hardware provided for work.
  • Opportunity to contribute to an award-winning product used by thousands of customers worldwide.
  • Transparent and flexible company culture centered around people.
