Job summary

Bleckmann Solutions B.V. is seeking a Warehouse Solution & Design Engineer to design and optimize warehouse layouts for customers, integrating automation to boost performance and scalability.

You will collaborate with project managers, IT and operations teams to deliver high‑performing, cost‑efficient warehouse solutions using CAD software, MTM methods and warehouse simulation tools across diverse sites. Travel to implementation locations will be required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in warehouse design or supply chain engineering.
• Degree in Industrial Engineering, SCM, or Logistics.
• Strong knowledge of CAD, MTM, WMS and automation.

Tasks and responsibilities:

At Bleckmann, engineering excellence and innovation are at the core of our ability to deliver world-class & cost-optimized logistics solutions. As a Warehouse Solution & Design Engineer, you have a leading role in designing and implementing warehouse solutions for our customers. You will be responsible for developing efficient warehouse layouts, optimizing material flows, and integrating automation to enhance operational performance. In this role, it is crucial to support our operational teams in optimizing existing processes and ensuring smooth implementation of new solutions. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, IT specialists, and operations teams, to deliver customized, high-performing warehouse solutions. You will be part of a multifunctional project team and will be exposed to many aspects of our global warehouse operations. Your expertise in warehouse design and process improvement will directly contribute to increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring scalability in our logistics operations. Through these responsibilities, the role ensures that Bleckmann continues to lead in logistics automation, delivering cost-effective and innovative engineering solutions that drive operational excellence.

Profile:

• 1.Technical Expertise: Strong background in warehouse operations, layout design, and process optimization. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and warehouse simulation tools. Knowledge of automation systems, material handling equipment, and warehouse management systems (WMS). Data analysis skills to support design decisions and process improvements. Knowledge and application of Methods-Time Measurement (MTM) for process optimization and efficiency analysis.
• 2. Experience & Education: Professional Experience: 5–7 years in warehouse design, supply chain engineering, or a related field. Educational Background: Degree in Industrial Engineering , Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3. Personal Qualities & Soft Skills: Customer Engagement: Ability to actively listen to customer needs and effectively translate them into practical, high-impact warehouse solutions. Leadership & Influence: Ability to coordinate and align multiple stakeholders to ensure successful warehouse solutions. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Capable of developing data-driven warehouse strategies and optimizing logistics flows. Problem-Solving Mindset: Practical and hands-on approach to overcoming warehouse design and implementation challenges. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to present warehouse concepts, layouts, and optimizations effectively to internal teams and customers. Global Mindset: Ability to work across international warehouse sites, ensuring cultural awareness and operational alignment.
• 4. Communication skills : Language Proficiency: Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (written & verbal) Strong presentation skills to confidently communicate solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• 5. Additional Requirements : Interest in New Technologies: A high interest in staying abreast of the latest technologies and innovations in the field of warehousing. Mobility: Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier engagements, site visits, and customer meetings.
