Job summary

GEODIS in Almere is seeking a Warehouse Key User to bridge daily warehouse operations with IT systems, provide first-level support, train staff, and test new processes. You will contribute to continuous improvement of material flow and logistics processes while maintaining data quality.

You will work in a modern, automation-driven facility with opportunities to grow, develop, and optimize system setups in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or similar role within a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse inbound, outbound, picking and inventory processes.
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts to non-IT staff.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve system or stock issues.
• Degree in logistics, supply chain, IT, or equivalent.
• Ability to create effective training materials for warehouse systems.
• Attention to detail when maintaining system master data and monitoring inventory.
• Fluency in English and willingness to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

Your impact

As a warehouse key user, you play a crucial role in connecting daily warehouse operations with IT systems. You will offer first-level system support, train warehouse staff, resolve stock errors, and test new processes or system updates. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of material flow and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level support for daily software and hardware issues, including resolving stuck transactions and support tickets.
• Train warehouse staff on proper system usage and best practices.
• Create clear and user-friendly work guides for system processes.
• Review and maintain the quality of master data within the system.
• Monitor stock accuracy and promptly address inventory mismatches.
• Test new software features or updates before they are fully implemented.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose improvements to system processes.
• Collaborate with the IT department to optimize system setups and resolve issues.

What are we looking for?

• Experience in IT support or a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, picking, and inventory processes
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to warehouse staff and operational issues to IT teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve system or stock errors
• Degree in logistics, supply chain, IT, or equivalent relevant work experience
• Ability to create and deliver effective training materials for warehouse systems
• Attention to detail when maintaining system master data and monitoring inventory accuracy collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams, including IT and warehouse operations
• Fluent speaking and writing skills in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• You are willing to work in shifts (2) between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m.
