Job summary

Bleckmann, a leading logistics and warehouse automation provider in the Netherlands, seeks an IT Automation Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in IT project management, business analysis, or automation within warehousing. You will bridge automation suppliers, warehouse operations, and IT to roll out new automation projects.

You’ll drive requirements, coordinate with site teams, and ensure successful go-live and post-implementation support while staying close to on-site realities and industry

Qualifications

• Understanding of warehouse operational needs and translating them into requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with IT infrastructure, networking and WMS teams.
• Data analysis to translate insights into improvements.
• Familiarity with automation/WCS platforms and APIs for integration.
• Knowledge of automation hardware, conveyors and PLC communications.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from warehouse operations for automation projects.
• Translate requirements into functional specs, flows and interfaces with vendors.
• Analyze current processes to identify value from automation.
• Validate designs through site visits, testing and feedback.
• Lead collaboration between suppliers, operations and IT teams.
• Coordinate project milestones, issues and status updates with stakeholders.
• Work on site during rollout with the LEAP implementation team.
• Document lessons learned and best practices for future rollouts.
• Act as escalation point for complex supplier issues after go-live.
