Job summary

Ericsson Maastricht-based integration engineer role focusing on VoLTE, IMS and 4G/5G core network solutions. You’ll learn from experienced engineers while gradually taking ownership of technical activities and customer projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, CS, or EE, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in mobile networks: VoLTE, IMS, 4G/5G, IP networking, cloud.
• Some hands-on exposure via work, internships, university projects or personal projects.
• Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, SIP, Diameter or IMS/VoLTE.
• Logical troubleshooting approach; curiosity to learn and ask questions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams and customers.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work at customer testing facility ~30 km from Maastricht.

Responsibilities

• Help integrate, test and troubleshoot VoLTE, IMS and 4G/5G Core network solutions in real customer environments.
• Work hands-on with network technologies and learn how voice and data travel through a mobile network.
• Investigate issues using logs, traces, alarms, KPIs and test results to find root causes.
• Support testing of services such as VoLTE calls, IMS registration, SMS over IMS and emergency calling.
• Help configure, upgrade, migrate and expand network solutions while keeping services running.
• Work with SIP, Diameter, IP networking, Linux, DNS/ENUM, HTTP/2 as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, solution architects, project managers, customers and teams.
• Document work and share learnings with the wider team.
• Build knowledge of cloud-native telecom and 5G Standalone (5G SA) technologies.
• As experience grows, take greater ownership of activities and customer communication.
