Job summary

Ericsson Maastricht is seeking an engineer to help integrate, test and troubleshoot VoLTE, IMS and 4G/5G Core network solutions for real customers. You will progress from junior to more ownership over projects.

You will work hands-on with SIP, Diameter, IP networking, Linux and cloud-based telecom tech, collaborating with solution architects and customers, and visiting a testing facility about 30 km from Maastricht.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Interest in mobile networks and technologies such as VoLTE, IMS, 4G/5G, IP networking or cloud.
Hands-on technical exposure through work, an internship, university projects, labs or personal projects.
Basic knowledge of Linux, networking, SIP, Diameter or IMS/VoLTE is a plus.
Logical troubleshooting approach and curiosity to learn and ask questions.

Responsibilities

Help integrate, test and troubleshoot VoLTE, IMS and 4G/5G Core network solutions in real customer environments.
Work hands-on with network technologies to understand how voice and data travel through a mobile network.
Investigate issues using logs, traces, alarms, KPIs and test results to find root causes.
Support testing of services such as VoLTE calls, IMS registration, SMS over IMS and emergency calling.
Document work and share learnings with the wider team.
