Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Maastricht seeks a Senior Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to design, validate, implement, and accept IP network solutions across the full lifecycle. You will lead changes, model networks, and advise customers on architecture, working with Cisco hardware and modern automation tools.

The role demands a strong educational background in engineering or CS, 5+ years of IP networking experience, and fluency in English, with Dutch being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, CS, or comparable field.
• Cisco certification(s) or willingness to obtain them.
• 5+ years in IP networking and infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on network design, implementation, and project delivery.
• Analytical approach in high-change environments.
• Fluent English; Dutch language skills are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into clear implementation plans and configurations.
• Set up and maintain lab environments with router config, testing, validation.
• Execute network changes following change management processes.
• Support deployment and operations teams with technical expertise.
• Perform network modelling, analysis and capacity planning.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and advise on architecture.
• Create technical documentation, presentations, and proposals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
