Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Maastricht seeks an experienced Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to own the full lifecycle of IP network solutions, from design and lab validation to integration and final acceptance. You will join a skilled telecom/IT team, work with modern tech, and help deliver high-impact networks for customers.

Responsibilities include translating designs into implementation plans, lab testing, change management, capacity planning, and customer-focused architecture guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• Relevant Cisco certification(s), or willingness to obtain them.
• 5+ years of experience in IP networking and infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and project delivery.
• Analytical, structured working style for high-impact changes.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Translate designs into clear implementation plans and configurations.
• Set up and maintain lab environments with router configuration and validation.
• Execute network changes following change management processes.
• Support deployment and operations teams with technical expertise.
• Perform network modelling, analysis, and capacity planning.
• Lead technical discussions with customers on architecture choices.
• Create technical documentation, presentations, and proposals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
