Job summary

Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam is seeking a student intern to be the frontline guest contact, especially for VIPs, while collaborating across hotel departments to deliver a warm, personal guest experience. You will inspire colleagues with fresh ideas and help keep areas neat and organized.

You’ll give tours, resolve issues, and share knowledge about the hotel and the city, ensuring a memorable stay for every guest.

Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled as a student.
• You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area and can easily commute to the hotel.
• You have charisma, guests approach you easily and vice versa.
• You are creative and have an eye for detail.
• Going the extra mile makes you happy.
• You are confident; there is no complaint that you cannot resolve.
• Helping guests is you second nature and you know all the ins and outs of the city.

Responsibilities

• You are the point of contact for our guests, in particular our VIP guests, and for contact persons from events as well.
• You are the vital link between the different departments, and you are always looking for special ways to surprise our guests.
• You come up with new and creative ideas, and you inspire your colleagues to contribute to them as well.
• You ensure that work processes are improved and that all areas are neat and tidy.
• You give tours of the hotels for potential new guests, resolve complaints and you share your knowledge about the hotel and city.
