Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Strategy & Business Management
  • In line with GAC International’s overall overseas development strategy, take full responsibility for business planning, operational management, and strategy execution across the Eastern & Northern Europe Region, including the development of medium- to long-term regional strategies and annual business plans.
  • Oversee key regional business KPIs, including sales volume, revenue, profitability, market share, and dealer network development, and take overall accountability for regional business performance.
  • Regularly analyze macroeconomic conditions, automotive market trends, industry policies and regulations, the competitive landscape, and new energy vehicle developments across the region, and provide timely recommendations for business strategy adjustments.
  • Drive the effective implementation of headquarters’ strategies across individual markets while developing differentiated business strategies based on local market conditions.
  • Country Market & Sales Operations Management
  • Oversee business development across Eastern and Northern European markets, and guide local entities, Country Managers, and business partners in developing annual sales targets and business plans.
  • Manage regional wholesale, retail, inventory, order intake, and sales pacing, while driving successful launches and full lifecycle sales performance of key vehicle models.
  • Establish regional business analysis and performance review mechanisms to identify sales and operational risks in a timely manner and drive corrective actions.
  • Oversee the development and optimization of different business models, including National Sales Companies (NSCs) and importer/distributor models, according to the maturity and characteristics of each market.
  • Dealer Network & Business Partner Management
  • Develop the regional dealer network strategy and manage relationships with key dealers, importers/distributors, fleet customers, and other strategic business partners.
  • Drive dealer network planning, development, appointment, and operational quality improvement in key markets.
  • Establish partner performance evaluation and management mechanisms to continuously improve channel profitability, sales capabilities, and customer service standards.
  • Lead major regional commercial negotiations and strategic partnership projects.
  • Brand & Marketing Development
  • Oversee regional brand strategy and marketing activities, strengthening GAC’s brand awareness, positioning, and market influence across Eastern and Northern Europe.
  • Guide individual markets in developing product launch, brand communication, PR, digital marketing, motor show, and customer engagement plans.
  • Drive regional marketing resource coordination and ROI management to continuously improve the effectiveness of brand and marketing investments.
  • Establish a regional brand management framework that reflects the characteristics of European markets while remaining aligned with GAC’s global brand positioning.
  • Product & Market Competitiveness Management
  • Based on regional market demand, competitive dynamics, and consumer preferences, provide headquarters with recommendations regarding product introduction, specifications, pricing, and product planning.
  • Oversee launch readiness for key products and cross-functional coordination to ensure that product, pricing, network, marketing, and aftersales activities are delivered according to plan.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of key competitor brands and models and provide decision-making support for headquarters’ product planning and European market strategy.
  • Aftersales Service & Customer Experience Management
  • Oversee the regional aftersales strategy and capability development, covering aftersales network development, technical support, quality and warranty management, spare parts supply, and customer service, ensuring that aftersales readiness is aligned with business development and product launch timelines in each market.
  • Guide local entities and importers/distributors in establishing aftersales service networks and operating systems in line with company standards. Establish regional aftersales KPIs and escalation mechanisms for major quality issues, continuously improving service quality, customer satisfaction, and brand reputation.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between aftersales, sales, product, dealer network, and headquarters functions including R&D, quality, and supply chain, continuously improving the customer experience throughout the product lifecycle and the overall performance of the aftersales business.
  • Regional Organization & Team Management
  • Lead organizational capability building and the development of a strong talent pipeline across the Eastern & Northern Europe Region.
  • Guide local entities and business teams in establishing efficient operating and cross-functional collaboration mechanisms.
  • Promote effective cross-cultural communication and collaboration between headquarters in China and local European teams.
  • Establish a performance management system with clear objectives and accountability, continuously strengthening regional execution capabilities and overall business performance.
  • Risk & Compliance Management
  • Oversee major regional business risks and ensure that all business activities comply with local laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Tax, HR, Compliance, and other relevant functions to assess and manage risks related to major regional business matters.
  • Take responsibility for the coordination and decision-making of major regional incidents and significant customer or business partner issues.
  • Headquarters & Cross-Regional Collaboration
  • Serve as the key business leader for the Eastern & Northern Europe Region and regularly report regional business performance, key developments, and major issues to company management.
  • Coordinate resources and support from headquarters functions including Product, Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Legal to support regional business development.
  • Promote resource sharing and business collaboration between Eastern & Northern Europe and other European regions.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or above; a degree in Automotive Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, with senior management experience in a major automotive group, international automotive brand, or new energy vehicle company, including at least 5 years of multi-country management experience in Europe. Experience as an overseas business leader within a Chinese automotive OEM is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in the European automotive market, with strong knowledge of key Eastern and Northern European markets, including their automotive market dynamics, distribution and dealer networks, consumer characteristics, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven experience as a Regional Head, Country General Manager, senior Sales/Marketing executive, or in a comparable general management role. Experience across OEMs, importers/distributors, dealer groups, or NEV companies is preferred.
  • Strong capabilities in strategic planning, business management, dealer network development, commercial negotiation, and multinational team leadership.
