Erasmus University Rotterdam’s Erasmus School of Economics invites applications for Vice Dean of Education from 1 January 2027. The role is a senior academic leadership position focused on education strategy, quality assurance, and external engagement within the school and university.

The appointee will supervise the Programme Director, coordinate with departments and policy officers, and represent the School in education bodies.

Qualifications

• Experienced Associate Professor or Full Professor with demonstrable leadership in education and university service.
• Strong strategic thinker with commitment to educational excellence, interdisciplinarity and societal impact.
• Collaborative and inclusive leadership with organisational and administrative skills.
• Experience with educational innovation and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and transparent communication.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Education Planning and Policy Development for the School.
• Programme and Quality Framework Development for degree programmes and QA.
• Evaluation and Accreditation Management for internal and external reviews.
• External representation and promotion of the School's degree programmes and educational developments.
