Erasmus University Rotterdam invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Economics (ESE). The appointment starts 1 September 2027 and is based at Campus Woudestein, Rotterdam.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or near completion
• Strong research profile aligned with Behavioural Economics, Health Economics or Strategy Economics
• Teaching ability at university level (lecturer or teaching assistant)
• Willingness to apply for external research funding
• Collaborative mindset and teamwork orientation
• Willingness to learn or ability to speak Dutch is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and teach in one of the department's sections (Behavioural Economics, Health Economics or Strategy Economics).
• Publish in leading journals and engage in internal and external collaborations.
• Supervise bachelor and master theses and contribute to grant applications and departmental activities.
