Job summary

The International Criminal Court in The Hague is seeking an experienced Personnel Security Support Officer to help manage the Court’s background screening programs and ensure robust security practices.

You will conduct risk assessments, coordinate with internal managers and external partners, and produce analytical reports to support secure operations. This role requires six years of relevant experience in vetting or investigations and a solid understanding of data protection principles.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant vetting, investigation or security experience.
• Advanced or first-level university degree may substitute up to two years of work.
• Background screening expertise and risk assessment capabilities.
• Strong analytical, investigative and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration.
• Proficient with common administrative and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct personnel security analysis for access to ICC premises and information.
• Perform risk assessments and investigations, including open- source review.
• Coordinate with Hiring Managers and internal stakeholders on safeguards.
• Serve as liaison with external agencies (INTERPOL, AIVD, etc.).
• Prepare analytical reports and maintain documentation per procedures.
• Support administrative processes for background screening programs.
• Investigate security incidents and prepare recommendations for prevention.
