Job summary

Avular in Eindhoven (Strijp-T) is seeking a UAV Control & Planning Engineer to develop robust control, state estimation and trajectory planning algorithms for flying robots. You will work on localization, planning and control on robot hardware and on-board Linux, collaborating with the control team and system architects.

You bring a Master’s degree or PhD in Robotics or related fields and 3+ years of experience with flying robotics or control systems, plus ROS2, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Linux and

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Robotics, Control Systems, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience with flying robotics or control systems.
• Strong understanding of UAV dynamics and model-based control.
• Experience with ROS2, C++, MATLAB/Simulink, Linux and Git.
• Experience deploying control solutions on real hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop algorithms for control, state estimation, and trajectory planning for flying robots.
• Collaborate with control engineers and system architects on integration and design.
• Analyse log files and ROS bags to evaluate performance and perform root cause analysis.
• Document approaches, results and test software against requirements.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and mentor junior engineers.
